More Masjin stuff

The level editor is coming up slowly but nicely; at the moment I’m thinking of a replacement for the molotov cocktail due to the fact that the poison bomb basically does the same job and is tons more efficient. Here are the two options I have currently in mind:
1) Black Hole bomb – It has been suggested at least thrice here, so I guess people would like to see it. Basically it’d be the opposite of gravity bomb, sucking people to the center of the explosion instead of pushing people away. I’m not sure how useful this’d be, but it could be used nicely in conjunction with a mine.

2) Remote-controlled bomb/missile – Basically a floating bomb/missile that the player could move about for a short while before detonating it. Could do wonders against turrets and people trying to hide in hard-to-reach places.

So what do you think?

    Love the idea for a remote controlled anything.

    Also, I’d like to suggest maybe changing the way mechs work Their only ability being able to stomp is a bit weird. How about a beam sword or something? [I may or may not have been watching a lot of Gundam recently.]

    Also, if possible, another multi-man vehicle would be great. A tank perhaps? Maybe some crawling vehicle that can scale walls? I don’t know. I just know picking up d00ds in a vehicle and driving them into the battlefield is incredibly awesome.

    Steelkenny, that might be fun, but the item shouldn’t disappear when removing other item (or it will be easier to just pick the radar and run away). If there were a “Vacuum cleaner” item allowing players (or maybe engineers only) to suck items and get money for it (kind of selling back), then stealing enemy radars and jetpacks would gain new tactical aspect!

    By the way, Molotov isn’t the least popular item. Flashbomb is! So buff them both.
    Flashbomb shouldn’t affect the player who used it (or the effect should disappear much quicker for him).

    oh, one more. what about an “Item Destroyer-Item”
    using this item.. with an item.. destroys both. so you can get rid of radars and stuff … :O

    To become efficient, Molotov should be buffed a lot. Just like you did with Mucus Bomb when people weren’t using it.
    Those smallest Molotov’s particles could have 4x more lifetime, thus throwing one cocktail would create amazing lake of lava for several seconds.
    Try buffing it in next release, I’m sure this will be fun.
    And don’t compare poison bomb to Molotov cocktail. Molotov is more landscape-oriented, it fills underground shafts while poison simply goes through walls.
    Also poison in ninja cloacked, but Molotov shouldn’t be. And of course ninjas should be vulnerable to its particles.
    By the way, engineers naturally should be able to make Molotov cocktails.

    Black Hole bomb may be useful if it works against vahicles too.

    Remote-controlled missiles are better left for another type of vehicle (some stationary rocket launcher), because these rockets will be hard to control, so noone will buy them if player can carry only one.
