Not so final version after all!

A small patch to Masjin. Changelog:
Fixed a couple more bugs
Turrets have been buffed
Speed+ chip has been nerfed
There’re now 3 items that become invisible with the ninja cloak; they’ve been marked with a small ninja head (It may be that the ninja is now insanely overpowered!)
Radar radius has been increased
cybermasons can now fix turrets by standing next to them (hopefully this doesn’t make them too OP; we’ll see)
The safety blocks can be turned off when hosting a game
Balanced the audio a bit
More price balancing

    New item ideas:
    Black hole bomb:
    Everyone close to this will get sucked to the middle, bullets fade when touching this hole

    Rocket:
    Similiar to the jetpack, but you can aim yourself and shoot yourself into far distance (like gbomb but for yourself)

    Drill:
    Having this with you will make you able to dig VERY VERY slowly

    De-Miner:
    Remove mines when you’re close to one, will NOT make you invinsible against mines.

    Im really happy about you added my idea for the game mode “ore race”.
    I think its true if you say ore race is a bit boring cause everybody just dig (even the losers Team , about im really surprised :D) what i didnt think before.
    So I think the idea of somebody (sry but i don’t know who at the moment) to steal ore with kills would be great. I suggest the Team of the one who killed steals automatically 10 ore(fair i think) from the other team (+10 pts for the killers Team, -10 pts for the Dead persons team; but no changing of the money the Teams have!). this is only for the ore race! x)
    With this addition the teams are forced to fight and kill in this game mode too :p, so it wouldnt be so boring anymore.

    Bug list:
    Randomly, team gets “Your team lost” in at least CTF; in the past it was observed in CP (forced out).
    Leaderstats sometimes show duplicate names
    Leaderstats sometimes show blanks (in between joining and loading)
    Randomly a white flag appears on the map in CTF (happened after team lost message?)
    Player cannot fit through 1 space wide slots sometimes [CTF at the least]. Resetting solves.
    When joining a game, sometimes gets stuck after picking class. all the GUIs vanish (except background), and won’t move on.

    I think that’s all of them?

    I’ll also include the improvements discussed for Ore Race:
    Each kill takes 10 from other team, adds 10 to your team.
    “Winning” is done by a difference in scores, not reaching a specific score (ie, 200 or 100).

    First of all: GREAT GAME ! :D
    I’m playing it for a long time now and it never gets boring (maybe cause of lots of updates).

    Ok, here are my points and ideas:

    1.) Think it would be great if the speed+ chip makes you faster again, but without stacking,
    this would make it OP.

    2.)Instead of this you should try to add a “barrier”/”rule” (don’t know how to call :P) that
    sets the limit of max. Turrets at the same place to 1 (maybe 2 would be OK, too).
    In my opinion that would balance the speed – turret conflict.

    3.)Mucous G. and Grav. Bomb could become invisible while ninja’s invisible, too. Think that
    isn’t unfair (OK, maybe Mucous G. but we should test).

    4.)Item idea: Confusing Bomb (Inverts right/left controls for limited time) :D

    5.) Map idea: Cave (Only dirt, no air, maybe a small, rough and uneven passage at the altitude
    of CP square/balcony; that won’t allow air fight for first time and would be the tactical
    contrast to your newest map with nearly no dirt)

    6.) Class idea (don’t know whether it’s a good idea *__*): Sniper (If you press attack button he
    will aim, maybe sreen scrolls a bit forward and you can target stageless with a red point like
    the anti-air cannon at the balcony (don’t know the professional name); his blast should do a lot
    of damage (50, maybe more or less, we’ve to test) but you cant shoot fast, he got some reload
    time.

    That are my suggestions…now I’m ready for some time (I hope :D).
    Thanks for this simple but so fantastic and inspiring game once more!

    I think the best way to do it is just make a checkbox for different items, and to let people see the game configuration before they join
    Some items might be
    Turrets
    Speed+
    Chopper
    Orb
    Spy ID

    etc, anything that might be interesting to not have.

    Oh, and an interesting new game mode might be Orb Defense- basically you have to kill the orb in the other team’s fortress to win, which encourages a more war-like game than CTF, which also means you have to keep the castle, not just get to it. (Orb might be right in front or something, instead of inside, so they don’t respawn right next to it).

    1 – Naah, I like them as they are. Perceptive playing required! ;)
    2 – Done! I can’t improve it’s ‘power’ anymore because that’d wreck the physics, but I can increase its range.
    3 – Done; thanks for this.
    4 – Absolutely not; chances are that the team getting good streaks is the winning one, so I don’t want to further imbalance the standings. Also in my opinion the player who’s having a good streak should be made someone the other team seeks to get rid of, so instead of helping him survive he should just be good enough not to get caught!
    5 – Dunno, I’d need a good idea for one.
    6 – Added.
    7 – Yeah, I had thought about this. I’d just have to make the effort to add more level outlooks. Maybe a bit later.
    8 – This would require total rehaul of how the code works, so no, I’m afraid.
    9 – Look at 4 ;)
    10 – Added; great idea.

    ’bout speed +, why not putting it back to normal, but make it AN ITEMS so you can’t have Speed AND an item :D
    Allright, up to the suggestions (alot! ofc. the ones you don’t like, don’t make, of course. Programmer knows best)

    1) Mines more notable for team
    I just hate stepping on a mine, looking at the chat window and see that you got killed by a teammate. Bah!

    2) Gravity Bomb Improved
    My favorite bomb, give it a more powerfull blow. I just LOVE standing on the roof, throwing the bomb and BOOM to the middle of the field attack every nothing-expecting-enemys. It would be more fun to fly to the other camp trough! :}

    3) Scientist text.
    Told you ingame, change it please :D

    4) Bonus after Titles
    Mayby a small bonus after getting a Title wouldn’t be so bad, because a title isn’t that easy to get!
    So ideas?:P

    Killing Spree:
    An additional 500 ores are added to the team
    Unkillable:
    As the name says, unkillable for 10 seconds (you won’t go below 1) + 1000 ores
    Insane:
    You get a jetpack + speed bonus + cloacker, all in one without having an item on you! :D + unkillable for 20 seconds + 2000 ores

    5) New class :D?
    Idk. I’d like a new one. :D

    6) Sounds
    Please make it able to mute music, but keep effects… :(

    7) New map types
    Allways in the woods getting kinda boring. Desert, Space (mayby with lower gravity :P?) and Snow would be kinda awesome :D

    8) Free For All
    Sitting in a team.. Buh, why not shooting EVERYONE YOU SEE, MUAHAHAHAHAHA. (You may spawn at the top of the map, random X)

    9) Bonus after Titles 2
    Ehm, if you don’t like the ones at 4 mayby you like these :P?
    All of these last as long as someone of your team has the title

    Killing Spree:
    A cannon is placed at the bottom of your camp, this is the same laser cannon as above.
    Unkillable:
    The laser cannons now draw a little line to see where you’ll shoot, pretty handy!
    Insane:
    EPIC IMBA LASER CANNON at the top of your base. You can see very far with this cannon, and it shoots epic lasers..

    10) Show your kill streak you got at the moment
    Meh? Pretty clear I think.

    I think I got pretty much at the moment. Lawl.
    It would be allready awesome if you implented two of them. So yeah :D.

    By the way, making a trailer for masjin to attract more people :D

    I think it’s not overpowered in CTF, it just forces people to rely less on turrets and more on defending their base manually. Honestly, turretspam is mindless strategy, and people usually turn CTF into slow-paced resource war – both teams overload bases with dozens of turrets so that noone can pass (even ninjas), then people keep destroying other’s turrets and rebuild own turrets until some team has no resources to build more turrets, then real CTF begins.

    That’s why sometimes we come to an agreement not to use turrets in the round (but then some newbies usually break the rule and again everything degrades into turretspam, nullifying skills and tactics).

    So I think turrets are kind of killjoy. They create false feeling of strategic thinking, and they take away other options (I mean, when there are 10+ of them, not when there’s a couple).

    So speed+ upgrade actually prevents CTF from degrading (well, not when there’s 20+ turrets, then even fastest players have no chance).

    If you’re not sure about actual figures, allow host to define max speed before starting a game, so that people can choose whether they want to play “Sonic the Hedgehog with shooting”, or they want some sluggish action.
    Also if money is the factor, just make Speed+ cost $0. :) That way everyone can afford it anytime, thus only skill becomes the question (as it’s not easy to control hyperactive character).

    We discussed this in-game, so yeah, the problem with speed+ is that it is overpowered in CTF. I’d need a way to prevent hi-speed players from dominating the team with less money.

    Noooooo! Speed+ chip, noooo! It was so much fun having high speeds (difficult to handle at first, but playing the game more makes you really artful with time), please return it or better allow stacking saveral speed upgrades, allowing to reach insane speed (highest possible with your collision system restrictions). That would be so awesome!
