More world generation!

I added support for different temperatures, which are counted using another ‘heightmap’. It’ll need some serious tweaking, but I quite like the looks already!

A bit confusing!

A bit colder areas!

It would be nice if you created something big out of this. I’ve always dreamt of a game in which you’d have to build the landscape instead of having to wage war on a landscape, build, etc.

Eh, but it occurs to me that the world is procedurally generated here so I’m completely off track. Oops! :)

Haha, yeah, this might work better as an environment-generator for some other kind of game. Personally I thought that this might fit a roguelike very well.

i love the roundedness of the world (which comes from how you setup your heightmap). it looks like a spherical planet and just somekind of round-to-flat map-projection.

try to place your cooler areas on two opposite sides (north/south) to mimmick how planets look – this will help a lot with the look i bet.

I guess I’ll just allow the player to decide which places are cold and hot, to allow the creation of really badass worlds!
